Remember, all classes are cancelled for today due the Freestyle Connection Seminar. We will resume normal hours on Sunday with Open Gym 10am-11am and Mobility Class 11am-12pm.
The Open is ending. 14.5 was released tonight and it looks like hell. That being said, I just wanted to thank everyone who registered, those who took the judges course and volunteered their time and those who came just to support. If you did not participate in the Open this year, ask someone who did and get their feedback. We had many first-timers this year…some who are less than 3 months into CrossFit…and I guarantee that none of them have a single regret are fitter because of it. I know this year’s Open has been frustrating for many of you who could not complete some of the movements as Rx. You did everything you could and put forth your best effort, but I understand the frustration. The founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman, made an awesome statement tonight: “The CrossFit Games winners are those that have climbed Everest, but we’re all mountain climbers.” So for tomorrow, 14.5 will be the daily WOD for the 5:30am and 12pm class. If you thought about doing the Open, but stayed on the fence, I highly recommend attending our Open workout tomorrow at 5:30pm and see what you’ve missed out. Then put $20 in a jar, mark it as “2015 Open” and set yourself a goal. Your fellow Open athletes, coaching staff and myself would love to help you achieve that goal. You know where to find us.
